Do I Need To Avoid Anything After Neograft Eyebrow Restoration?
When you consult with us about eyebrow transplant using the NeoGraft system, you can expect to receive answers to all of your questions, including how you must care for both the harvest area and the recipient area. The following are general guidelines that may be outlined in your post-treatment care instructions:
- Avoid ibuprofen, aspirin, and alcohol consumption for at least 48 hours after your procedure. Each of these thins the blood and can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
- Avoid touching the eyebrow area with your fingers. Touching can disrupt the grafts and cause them to fall out.
- Minor bleeding can occur during the initial recovery period. If it does, apply very gentle pressure for a few minutes. Do not rub or dab!
- Scabbing is a normal side effect of the hair transplant procedure. Tiny scabs will develop just hours after the grafts have been placed. It is imperative that you avoid scratching or picking at the scabs. Doing so not only increases the risk of infection but may also disrupt the grafts during a critical healing period.
